My personal view of Richard Dawkins is that he sometimes comments on things he isn’t qualified for.
Not that I’m much better, but I’m not in the limelight, like he is.
However, he is a professor of biology and its safe to say that he does know a thing or two about that. 🙂
In the TEDtalks video below he launches into a full-on appeal for atheists to make public their beliefs and to aggressively fight the incursion of religion into politics and education.
The talk is from february 2002, before Dawkins went on to publish “The God Delusion“.

Militant atheism makes about as much sense as a Holy War. The answer is to once and for all take religion off the table – it should be a non issue, something regarded behind the privacy of closed doors.

Yes, it sounds a bit like fundamentalist atheist. 🙂
I don’t go around, blow things up or oppress people left and right.
In my opinion, atheism is the default setting.
The rest is just very dangerous extras.
